Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and what your rights are. We keep it to what the service needs: no analytics, no advertising, no tracking.
1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What we collect and why

We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and to deal with any claims (legal obligation and legitimate interest).
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or use it for marketing. We use these providers, who handle it only as needed to provide the service:
- Lemon Squeezy — our reseller and merchant of record. It processes payments, taxes and receipts, and acts as a separate data controller for that under its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosting and database.
- Resend — delivers your submissions to our inbox.
- Google Workspace — our email.
- AI-assisted writing tools — used to help analyse submissions, under terms that do not allow the provider to use your content to train its models.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. How long we keep it
- Essays, documents and form answers: deleted within six months of delivering your review. After that we keep only a minimal record (date, type of submission and school name) so we can keep count of the reviews you have used.
- Account and purchase data: for as long as you have access, and afterwards for as long as required by law or needed to deal with claims, generally up to six years.
- Login token: in your browser for up to 14 days, or until you sign out.
5. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to hello@thefundedapplicant.com; we will reply within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or to the authority in your country.
6. Security
The site runs over encrypted connections, we collect only what the service needs, and uploaded files are not kept on the website’s servers.
7. Age
The service is for people aged 18 and over.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be notified by email to customers.
