Terms of Service

These terms apply to thefundedapplicant.com and to everything you buy on it. By buying or using the site you accept them. Please read them together with our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, which form part of them.

1. Who we are

The Funded Applicant is operated by [Owner: full name or company name], [Tax ID (NIF)], [Postal address]. Full details are in our Legal Notice. You can reach us at hello@thefundedapplicant.com.

2. What we offer

• The File — a written guide to the MBA application process: eleven chapters, a roadmap, school files, an essay scoring framework, interactive tools, a CV template and scholarship-letter structures. It is read online in a private members’ area; apart from the CV template, it is not a downloadable book.
• The Complete edition — The File plus two services: a written review of your essays for up to two schools, and a written scholarship request prepared from the offers you hold, which can be requested once.
• Upgrade to Review — adds those two services to an existing purchase of The File.
• Additional school — one further essay review, for one school.

We do not write essays or applications for you. Our reviews comment on what you send us.

3. Buying

Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our reseller and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy takes your payment, charges any VAT or sales tax that applies, issues your receipt and deals with payment matters under its own buyer terms. Prices are shown in euros and include tax where it applies.

After payment you receive a licence key by email. You must be 18 or over to buy. Access is made available immediately after payment; our Refund Policy explains what that means for cancellation.

4. Your access and licence

Your licence key is linked to the email address used at checkout and gives you personal, non-transferable access to the members’ area. You may use the material for your own applications. You may not share your key or login, or copy, reproduce, publish, resell or distribute the material, or use it to provide services to other people. Pages in the members’ area are marked with your email address.

If we reasonably believe your access is being misused, we may suspend it and will tell you why. We intend to keep the members’ area available; if we ever close it, we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email.

5. Reviews

• Essay reviews. Each review covers one school. You send that school’s essays through the members’ area, in PDF or Word, with the prompt and word limit of each essay. Sending a submission uses one of your schools, whether or not you later change the essays.
• Scholarship request. One submission, sent through the form in the members’ area once your admission decisions are in.
• Timing. We aim to return reviews within five working days of receiving them. At times of high demand this can occasionally take longer; if it does, we will let you know by email. If you are working to a deadline, say so when you send and we will prioritise it where we can.
• Delivery. Reviews are sent by email to the address linked to your licence.
• Unused reviews do not expire while the service is running.

A review is our reasoned opinion of your material. You decide what to use, and you remain responsible for your application, including making sure that everything you submit to a school is accurate and your own work.

6. No guarantees, no affiliation

Admission and funding decisions are made by the schools. Nothing we provide guarantees admission, a scholarship or any amount of funding.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any school named on the site; school names are used only to identify them. School information reflects our research at the time of writing, and schools change their processes, deadlines and awards. Always check their official pages.

8. Intellectual property

All material on the site, including text, frameworks, tools, templates and design, belongs to us or is used with permission, and is protected by intellectual property law.

Your essays and documents remain yours. You allow us to use them only to prepare your review. We do not publish them, share them or use them as examples.

9. Liability

We prepare the material with care, but it is guidance, not a guarantee of any outcome. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force when you buy applies to that purchase.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and can bring a claim in its courts. If something goes wrong, please write to us first at hello@thefundedapplicant.com; most things can be resolved by email.
