Refund Policy

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It explains when a purchase can be cancelled and refunded. It does not affect your statutory rights.
1. The File
The File is digital content, made available immediately after payment. Under Lemon Squeezy’s buyer terms, which you accept at checkout, you consent to immediate access and acknowledge that your right to cancel ends once access begins.
- If you have not yet logged in to the members’ area, you can cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
- Once you have logged in, The File cannot be refunded.
This applies to The File bought on its own and to the part of the Complete edition that is The File.
2. Reviews
Reviews are a service: the review part of the Complete edition, the Upgrade to Review and each Additional school. They are not refundable, with one exception required by law.
Consumers in the EU, the EEA and the UK have a legal right to cancel a service within 14 days of purchase, provided the service has not been used. For our reviews, that means you can cancel as long as you have not yet sent any submission under that purchase — no essays and no scholarship request.
If you cancel in time, we refund the price of the service: €200 for the review part of the Complete edition or for the Upgrade, and €89 for an Additional school. Once you have sent a submission, or after 14 days, this right no longer applies.
Customers outside those regions do not have this right, and reviews are not refundable once bought.
3. Purchases made by mistake
If you bought the same thing twice, or bought the Complete edition when you already owned The File and meant to upgrade, write to us within 14 days and we will refund the duplicate purchase or the difference.
4. If something does not work
If a technical problem on our side stops you from accessing what you bought and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, we will refund you.
5. How to ask
Email hello@thefundedapplicant.com from the address you bought with, and include your order number (it is in your receipt). Approved refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy to your original payment method; how long they take to appear depends on your bank or card provider.
